The last two weeks I spent five days in the cities covering the state boys and girls basketball tournaments. We had five area teams qualify. For boys: Goodhue, Caledonia and Red Wing. For girls: Goodhue and Plainview-Elgin-Millville.

The Goodhue boys fought their way to the state championship game where they fell to High-powered Minneapolis North.

The Goodhue and P-E-M girls both won state titles in their classes.
